A Terracotta Casket

Pomellato’s new flagship on 445 Rodeo Drive required a façade capable of expressing what the Maison describes as _Global Attitude_ — a language capable of combining the elegance of Hollywood Regency, the geometric rigor of Frank Lloyd Wright, and the soft brutalism of post-war Milan, where Pomellato took its first steps.

This is how Golden Eclectic came to life — a project that transforms the boutique into an immersive space where art, design, and craftsmanship converse in a contemporary, cosmopolitan key.
For this vision, Pomellato relied on the exceptional skill of Italy’s most distinguished artisans — including S.Anselmo.
Working closely with the Maison team, we then created the handcrafted terracotta blocks that make up the entire façade.

Iconic Design

114 hand-carved elements feature a bas-relief inspired by the _Nudo_ motif, whose facets create depths that change with the Californian sun, creating plays of light just like precious stones. 15 additional tiles frame the perimeter, completing the architectural composition with a soft, refined edge.
_Nudo_ is one of Pomellato’s most iconic designs, expressing its free spirit, and its formal purity has become a direct inspiration for the architectural details of the new store.

A craftsmanship tale

Inside, the narrative continues. Silk wallpapers—hand-painted and embroidered—reinterpret _Nudo_ as a suspended wisteria. A curated selection of pink marbles evokes the historic stones of Milan’s Duomo, while every detail reflects a shared belief: true luxury is crafted slowly, with intention, and meant to feel deeply personal.
A story of Italian craftsmanship that dialogues with the iconic style of Rodeo Drive.

Certifications

The entire project has been awarded LEED Platinum certification, the highest level of the international sustainability standard.
